Tammuz Abuelhaiga

Prior to joining SFI, Tammuz was a public defense lawyer for the southern district of Israel. Tammuz supervised litigators representing defendants in psychiatry and mental defect cases. In this role, Tammuz  guided and trained lawyers and represented defendants in select cases. Tammuz also clerked for supreme court justice Meni Mazuz.

In parallel to practicing law, Tammuz became an Our Generation Speaks fellow and participated in the Mass Challenge social accelerator in Boston. Her project won a grant for providing a solution for solar energy to off-grid populations. The initiative went on to become a company in which she held a role in business development and finance.

Tammuz graduated with honors from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where she was as a teaching and research assistant, a member of the law review, and winner of the David and Dina Wolff Award.
